WE'RE HOME! Welcome to Florida.

The car was pretty loaded by the time we finally returned to Florida. It will take us days to unpack.

Here's the route that we took, through 21 states and 3 provinces. We drove a total of 16,242 miles, plus cruised about 3,700 miles. I was a wonderful trip!

Thanks to everyone for your comments. We hope you enjoyed our travels as much as we did. We're looking forward to seeing all of you now that we are back.

We went to Global Wildlife Center in Folsom, LA. It's a zoo without barriers, and you ride in a covered wagon towed by a tractor -- after being greeted by the parrot in the gift shop.

Bill purchased the cup of feed to share with the animals. They come right up to the wagon (they actually run to it when they see it coming as they know we'll feed them). There's deer, antelopes, rhea (the bird that looks like an emu), llama, camels, cattle, giraffes, zebras, bison and kangaroos.

We signed up for Dr. Wagner's Tour of Honey Island Swap. The real estate along the rivers, bayous and swamp was terrific !!!! Maybe we'll get a summer home here.

There were plenty of gators (we're from Florida and we have to pay to see gators -- go figure; but the boat ride was terrific). This is Big Al.

They actually feed these gators (hot dogs and marshmallows), so we got to see them closer than usual.

This smaller guy likes his hot dogs too.

Boat ride's over.
