Yellowstone National Park was great. There was steam coming out of the ground everywhere, as well as steam coming off some of the ponds. The colors of the pools around the geysers was brilliant from the minerals and acids.

There was also a ton of snow still on the ground in the higher elevations (9,000-10,000 feet), but at least it was in the 60's and 70's and bright and sunny.

Lewis Lake is still covered in ice.

We did catch a herd of elk along the roadway.

Old Faithful starts out spurting slowing, then lets go full blast. It was amazing.

The bison were roaming freely in the fields.

Check out the colors.

Sapphire Pool - the color was brilliant.

We saw tons of bison.

Rushhour in Yellowstone -- traffic was backed up in both directions.

The elk are not afraid of tourists.

Bighorn sheep.
