A beautiful sunset for our last night in Fairmont Hot Springs. This was taken just after 10 pm. The days are long here, with the sun up around 5-ish and setting about 17 hours later.

We take a final pass through the Rockies and leave them behind us as we continue our trek westward.

As we get closer to Vancouver, we have views of the Coast Mountains (northern portion of the Cascade Range).

Avalanches are pretty common in these mountain ranges. The brown "sticks" used to be trees before the snow ran its course downhill.
