Had to go see the Great Salt Lake while we were here. Unfortunately, due to their 10 year drought, the lake was about 1/4 mile from shore. With all the snow in the mountains, it's hard to believe there is a drought. After the lake, we toured the Kennecott Bingham Canyon Copper Mine. Pretty neat place. The open pit mine is 2 3/4 miles across the top and about 3/4 mile deep. They say it can be seen from the space shuttle.
