We drove up to the Monjeau Lookout Fire Tower, elevation 9641 feet. It was built in 1936 and is still in use.

Then we went up to the ski area, Ski Apache -- 12 miles of road traveling up and around and up and around, and the temperature dropped 20 degrees. These two pics are looking down at the road.

Look close -- there's snow in the mountains.
