Stopped by to see Smokey Bear, located in Lincoln National Forest in Hondo, NM. I never knew Smokey was a real bear. Actually he wasn't when the original "prevent fires" posters came out in the 1940, but in 1950 a bear cub was found, badly burned, after a fire in Lincoln National Forest. And the rest is history.
