WE'VE RUN INTO A BLIZZARD!!!

Actually, this is White Sands National Monument in Alamordo, NM, located at the north of the Chihuahuan Desert. The dunes are gypsum -- the largest gypsum dune field in the world, and all part of the national parks system and a missile range.

You get to ride saucers down the dunes, just like we used to do in the snow. Climbing the dunes was a little tough as your foot would slide back a foot for every step up you took. This was a ball!!
